The Months of Our Relationship

You have a sign on your bedroom door that says
"Someone who cares- 3 miles"
And it points to the right.
Well, it should point to the person right in front of you:
Me.
I care about you.
I love you with all my heart.
I will always care about you,
Always love you.
You should know that by now.
We've almost been together 7 months
But it feels like 7 years.

In the first month
We were kinda shy around each other
Not quite knowing the other person
As well as we do now.

In the second month
The awkwardness started to wear off
And we started to fall in love with each other.

It was in the third month
That I moved into you and your parents house.
I was nervous and scared to call my dad
To tell him that I'd made a decision:
I'd come to your house to spend the night
And I was never coming back home.
I don't regret doing what I did that night,
Facing my fears and dealing with my dad.

In the fourth month
We experienced sickness,
Mostly on your part because of your asthma.
But I want you to know that
In sickness and in health
I will always be there to take care of you.

In the fifth month
I went away for a week
To stay at my sister's house.
Those times were really tough on us.
We missed each other so much.
It was hard to sleep at night without the other person there.

In the sixth month,
Oh, the half-a-year-together mark,
That was when I confessed to you that I thought I was
Falling in love with you more everyday.
And then you did that special thing, the thing that made my heart skip a beat,
That made me smile so bright,
That made me blush so red:
You said that you felt the same way.

Now, only less that two weeks away from our
Seventh month anniversary,
I'm happy to say
That I love you so much
It hurts my heart to be away from yours.
My heart likes to hear your heart beat
So close to it when we lay together.
It wants to beat in time with yours
For the rest of our lives.
