Untouchable

by Alex Ellsworth   Sep 6, 2006

Driving down the highway he fells like he's flying.
Underneath him his car eats the pavement feet at a time.
His heart beating like an eagle's majestic wings.
It's as if the only thing between him and the road is a cushion of air.
The adrenalin pumping through his veins is like morphine calming him down.
Faster and faster the car goes until it reaches its maximum output.
Car and man in perfect harmony.
Untouchable to the world.
Feels so amazing he goes blind to the world.
He doesn't see the truck coming at him like a shark with its jaws wide open.
The car crumples like an aluminum can.
Metal strewn across the road like feathers of a bird.
A rose of fire blooms in the car.
Fragile is the mortal form even if you feel untouchable.
