Loneliness

by Ignis Divine   Sep 6, 2006

Bitter simile behind an emotionless mask
Hiding in your cruel world,
Denying all you grew to love.
Acid tears running down your crippled face
Because of THEM you have fallen in disgrace.

You won’t share your dreams, your heart
Solitude is your only alibi,
Sorrow fills your lungs at night
And in the empty chambers of your own reality
You look around to find a source of light.

Frightening memories of the past
Shred your heart to bits and pieces,
I look at you and I see nothing;
A broken mirror of an angel
Driven mad by the lonely thoughts and lies.

WOW... This is pretty good. Very gut-wrenching. You just kinda drew me in with your words.

And in the empty chambers of your own reality
You look around to find a source of light.

Loved those lines. Very well voiced.
