Let Go

So many emotions so many tears,
but I know I have to let you go.

I long to hold you once more,
but I know I have to let you go.

As I watch you fly free like a butterfly into the sky,
I start to cry, but I know I
have to let you go.

As the tears stream down my face,
my body screams for your embrace,
but I know I have to let you go.

I never knew the saying
"If you love something let it go and
if it comes back to you it's meant to be" could be so true.

But I love you, so I know I have to let you go
in hopes that you will one day return to
me.

So bye for now my butterfly, fly high into
the sky.

While my feelings for you I can't
deny, I know I have to let you go.
