The Heart Behind a Kiss

by mer   Sep 8, 2006

A kiss will say
a thousand words
with a faint and silent whisper
the passion deeply imbeded
in the heart of two young souls

Your lips quivering
while being drawn into that trap
your lover set out
just for you
leading you to believe
the clouds of heaven have
fallen to earth
as his gentle lips surround you

Waiting in anticipation
your heart nearly beats
out of your chest
reading the story from
the book in your eyes

He wonders and his wondering hand
is softly placed on your cheek &
he pulls you into his wonderland

You've now won the race
as the electric shock makes
your heart skip a beat
all because of that boy
who kissed you
with his hand upon your cheek
