Excellent - short, poignant, direct. Being a victim of domestic violence myself, knowing the daily, torturous cycle of rationalizations and excuses, I know how difficult that step of acknowledging the truth of the relationship once you get out is. Just saying "This is what it was" is like putting an arm suffering effects of hypothermia into room temperature water and feeling the life flow back is as painful as it is invigorating, it is natural to want to recoil from that and retreat to the safe, familiar denial.

I felt your movement into that new stage of healing in this -and I am very glad to have read it. I do love the stories of escapees, and yours reminds me, in the most basic sense, how few words are necessary to capture the intensity well.

Its really a thrilling expressions and I luved its sound.... well penned... 5/5

Amazing... when i start reading it really make me surprise.. coz i was interested the title of the poem LIFE WITH HIM now im really surprise the body of the poet it was really differ to other's poem.. and i think this is a very great dedication and message to the member of this site.. or to all the readers as well. this is such a wonderful work and very interesting. the rhyme and the structure are great and i think it was written well.. perfect!5/5

The first stanza was excellent. so much description and meaning. just started off a great poem with a bang!
