Why is the music better?

My life before
Was filled and pure
I was missing something
But was not sure

I searched a while
Seeking a distant sound
Seeking a better meaning
Seeking to be proud

I went through who I was
I saw within me
A certain spark
Something that was to be

So now, I look back
We slowly met
Doing a project
The topic; I'd rather forget

What happened here
Did we learn to trust
I cannot fathom it
Was it a must?

So now;
What reminds me of you
I hear the music
My thoughts true.

Thank you for this happiness
This strength to be me
My heart beats now
It was meant to be
