The Boys

by Sarah   Sep 8, 2006

Real love is forever
and that is where it will stay
Though we have layed you boys to rest
Our love for you grows to this day

The whispers have never bothered us much
Rumors are Rumors, what can you do
We feel guilty within ourselves
Maybe if you were us, you would too

Before We could make life's tough decisions
They were made for us by our boys
Two young, confused girls
A chance at pure happiness seems destroyed

Days have been filled with nothing like before
Regret, tears and unanswered prayers
Soft dreams of love and serenity
Now replaced with deep, dark nightmares

In our desperate and weary minds
You can say that we always have eachother
like souls connected and intertwined
yet, both are too scared to trust another

Trust is so much more than wandering eyes
Its a promise you'll always take good care
That your detours wont put your life in danger
that you'll do anything to stay right there

We've tried to put our sorrow into words
We've tried to drink the pain away
Everything comes right back to us
When our consciousness we regain

You may see us walking down the street
See two vibrant, lively girls
Our language you could never understand
Our shattered souls transcends this world

In the future, we will carry one another
Two drunk girls stare into eachothers eyes
We see way beyond appearances
and truly know what in our heart lies
