Anorexia

by TRAGiC BEAUTY   Sep 9, 2006

She wants to look like those girls
She sees in magazines
The girls she sees throughout the hallways
And on the TV screen

One morning she woke up
And decided to look in the mirror
And as she studied her reflection
Her imperfections became clearer

Every morning she'd take a run
About 2 miles long
Her friends had realized at lunch
That there was something wrong

For she had not eaten anything
Nothing was gone from her plate
She moved some food around
So it look like she ate

Soon she started cutting out food
Didn't eat a thing all day
You could see all of her bones
Sticking out every which way

And her parents soon become worried
But everytime she denied
She hid every lie
Or at least she tried

Shoving a toothbrush down her throat
And purging after every meal
But everytime she did it
Perfection's what she'd feel

What she has is worse than a lot
Worse than a cold or dyslexia
As sad as it is
She has Anorexia
