A Different Kind of Slave

God sees it all,
but he doesn't seem to care,
He has to power to stop it,
But he just stands back to stare.

Little girls in Cambodia,
are trafficked every day,
To go off and become sex slaves,
Ashamed of themselves in every way.

The trafficking of people,
is against the law.
But still, it happens all the time,
People ignore it if they saw.

Girls as young as five years old,
are sold into captivity,
Forced to live in poor conditions,
and give up their virginity.

Raped, beat, and torn,
in every way abused,
any man may have her,
not a one will be refused.

These girls become weak and frail,
and lose their love for life,
All they want is to become numb,
but still, they feel the knife.

Countless girls die every day,
but no one seems to worry,
every sex slave freed from this world,
Is replaced in an evil flurry.

What kind of God could let this happen,
Why can't he just fix it?
Those poor girls did nothing,
they don't deserve the hit.

I just don't understand,
how a mother could sell her own child,
When compared with the lives of these girls,
Hell must seem but mild....
