Scattered Ashes

by Twisted Heart   Sep 9, 2006

Like gentle rain they meet the breeze
Drifting through the air's own breath
Tainted smell of burning leaves
On the cool ground they come to rest.
The embers of a smoldered fire
Takes hold the wind in sweet embrace
Collected souls who's own desire
To rise above the hot flame's fate.
Flickered then extinguished ghosts
No longer to renew their passion
The night gives life as their hosts
But they remain just scattered ashes.
