A sheltered girl living on shattered dreams
feels as if she has been ripped at the seams
doesn't know that around the corner a boy waits
a second later and his arrival would've been too late

and it was so, the boy mended the young girl's heart
for before he had come, it had been torn apart
torn apart by a broken promise of love
and now it was her own doubt she had to overcome

he spoke of her beauty that she always dreamt of
and before she knew it, she had fallen in love
a love so pure she refused to believe him
but he gave her unsure heart reassurance once again

so now they live in love and laughter
creating their own happily ever after
the girl now recognizes her true beauty
