Alone.

by Marissa Cabot   Sep 10, 2006

Ambitions have drained away
As the rain pours down
Watching life tick by
As if locked in some tower

The one I can never leave
Until I speak
Name what binds me here where
I am paralyzed

All the stars in the sky
So called diamonds of hope
Have all burnt out
The constellations cry
As they are disgraced and fade to black

Letters arrive, addressed to:
I keep them all, unopened
I don't know who she is anymore

That reminds me...
But I forgot again
A television show plays
But the image twists a million ways
And the words haven't touched my ears
