Burning Secrets

by Jessica   Sep 10, 2006

Slowly moving the black pen across the paper
The words that choke my insides are finally free
Line after line is written, quickly filling each page
My clogged up mind is at last starting to see..

Burning secrets inside of me are hastily released
The paper beneath them gradually flaming away
A book containing nothing more than a life story
That is slowly burdened with pain day after day..

Remaining hidden from prying eyes to examine
Lingering stories of deceit and pain fill each sheet
A simple release for a haunted girl of only fourteen
Just a way that the horror in her life, she can delete..
