Path of Loneliness

by RadianceInReverse   Sep 11, 2006

Reaching for two ornate stars
hoping to find the same future
seeing the paths, separate paths
tears glimmer in the depths of night

holding on tightly to the one loved
praying that grasp will be too strong
for the bond to break
but slowly we pull apart,
centimeter by centimeter we float away
following our seamlessly long paths

Screaming, weeping I pain for you, I miss you
now out of each-others sight my heart falls
my misery calls for healing, there is none
my loneliness pulls at me
only seconds have pasted,
and yet I mourn slipping into depression, frustration

A heart ripped in two
a hope forgotten, lost
a deep love taken away
misguided, broken I drift off mind sunken and enclosed
emotions worn to nothingness
no time for tears or what-ifs

Pain consumes time
pain takes all life
a love broken with no repair,
by two glowing orbs of long-lasting despair
