Love has no meaning to me

Love is just a simple word,
to me has no meaning,
From waking in the morning,
to when I lay there dreaming,

People often say it to me,
just as a figure of speech,
But when I really need them,
there's no-one I can reach,

Same old lies on different days,
saying that they truly care,
Even my own family do it,
but they are never there,

I feel alone, scared confused,
nearly every single day,
One day I hope I'll understand,
why my mum went away......
