Make Your Choice

by Brooke Mason   Sep 12, 2006

She holds you silently
as if waiting for me to strike
and take you back

Gripping onto your heart like
a mother to a child
nuzzling gently to claim power

i am forced to sit and watch this
absolute disgrace of your wonder
and splendor to her

to sneak and lie and cheat
and make her cry
scarlet tears of pain

you balance two beams
both of equal value and
both of equal want by you

make your choice my dearest
love
or the choice will be made
for you
