Candle in the Rain

Candle in the Rain
[Your Eyes Are My Sunrise]

I fell in love again.

Once broken
once torn
but with love
i was reborn.

you were the one
who embraced my sorrow
you knew i had been hurt...
you knew i...cried myself to sleep.

you saw me as something more
than a misunderstood soul
you saw me as someone
who could make you whole.

I was just a candle in the rain
soon to be an extinguished flame
but in the darkness you came...

Oh and how you kiss me...
sweetly...softly...
never let me go.
never let me go.

Stretched to my last limits
with no one to cling to in the wind
having happiness as just a memory
wondering when the nightmare would end...

I made so many mistakes.
I made so many mistakes.
I made so many mistakes.
I made so many mistakes.

Can I learn to love and trust again?
Can you heal my heart's past pain?
Can you set me free from my chains?

goodbye misery...
come gracious love
wrap me in your arms.
your eyes are my...
renewed sunrise.

[Teach me to love and trust again..]
[I was just a candle in the rain...]
[until you came...ending my pain...]

your eyes
are my
sunrise.
