True Love Won\'t End

by LonelyNightsHurt   Sep 12, 2006

She lay in her cold bed again
With nothing but her soft teddy bear
Thoughts of emptiness engulfing her
Wishing you'd just show that you care

She watched out her window
Listening to the thunder in the sky
She so desperately needed his loving
But she just can't fathom why

And a tear slides down her cheek
So soft, and in such a perfect form
Her head says no, her heart says yes
Confused, like a desert lost to the storm

She cuddles her teddy bear
Thoughts of him, kissing it on the head
She whispers "baby, I love you"
And when he wakes, she'll be dead

He woke with the worst feeling
But didn't know what was wrong
He was thinking of her, his love
He was going to tell her of his love for so long

He walked to her house in the pouring rain
He heard the sirens coming near
He opened the door, and in her room
His body just froze in fear

He stroked the hair from upon her eyes
Watched her sleep in eternal rest
Preyed to God, to watch his love
To keep her safe, and to keep her blessed

In the rain, he cried for so long
He'd try to be with her in the end
All he needed in life was her
And his life was his to spend
