THe Horrible New Me

by MEGZ is wondering what to do about life   Sep 12, 2006

The smile is gone from my face
It is replaced with a frown.
The rosiness is gone from my cheeks,
It is replaced with a pale white.
The glisten is gone from my eyes,
It is replaced with shadow and sadness.
The joy from my laughter is gone,
It is replaced with a soft ha ha.
The thumping is gone from my heart,
It is replaced with a shushed beat.
The joy and bounce from my step is gone,
It is replaced with a slow slouch.
Because you have taken my love,
You get this horrible new me.
