The Unfinished Shed

by Poetvoices   Sep 12, 2006

The moonlight plays blue off the rooftops.
The crickets play softly, the rhythm's skill.
Lazy branches stagger in the northern street light.
The grass grows dew. The night is still.

The moon gradually trades shifts with a ball of light.
The busy comes to raise the stakes.
The birds sing--altogether now!
Slowly but surely, the day awakes.

As the sand slips further to the other end,
and the roses, petunias, and sunflowers blend,
the sun ducks behind the mountains west,
and life restarts its cycles quest.

This is so beautiful. I loved reading it.
It reminds me of a poem that I wrote,
but I haven't posted it on this site. Its
called "My Sunrise". I like the fact also
that it reminds me of those early
mornings that I wake and wish I could
be in a whole different place. You
    painted the most beautiful picture
when you wrote this. Keep up the
    good work friend.

    Love
    Letty

    P.S. I missed you too:)
