As I lay awake and dream
it's your angelic face i see
not happiness and days to come
but all the pain you've given me

it's your haunting eyes i see
not love and kindness for my soul
but a soul of dark no love for me
As i lay awake and dream
it's your loving hands i see
not times in which your arms i lie
but all the times you've wounded me
As i lay awake and dream
it's your demonic soul i see
no love inside this mystic shell
like seeing heaven and knowing hell
