Flawed Diamonds

by Tom Cheriyan   Sep 13, 2006

A sea of flawed diamonds,
I perceived one day,
Billions and billions,
Carpeting the earth, all the way.

What struck me was their brilliance,
Sparkling, each one,
Though singularly flawed,
Together they shone,
Like the rays of the sun.

The world was lit,
By their magnificient glory,
Dispelling darkness,
And all things awry.

Then I saw me,
Beautiful and whole
(No longer deformed),
For in projecting radiance,
I got back radiance,
My flaws had transformed.
