I Am From

by Lady Love   Sep 13, 2006

I am from marbles in the sidewalk
And a little bright pink bed
Playing with my cousin
When "quiet" is what mom said

I'm from family dinners
And the Christmas tree still up
Sneaking downstairs
To see what Santa brought us

I'm from watching mommy cry
And wiping up her tears
I'm from seeing bruises
That come from family fears

I'm also from hiding
And getting out of sight
But then my world was brightened....
....There was no one left to fight
