Once upon a time....

he sits in his room and stares at the moon
he looks like a vampire of the night
with that black hair, those dark cole eyes
he swears to her he'll be alright

looking like an angel from above
with her fair hair and her bright eyes
she dreams of the man she loves

he cant tell his friends
they'll say he has conformed
she was everything they stood against
the fountain on which there friendship was formed

she cant tell her friends
for they will gasp and shriek
how could she do this to them
how could she fall for a geek

what would his friends say
if he walked down the hall with a Barbie doll
holding her hand proud
rumors would spread like outta control

what would her friends say
their reputation would be gone
queen of the prom daddy's little girl
she'd give it all up to kiss him on the front lawn

and though society pulls them apart
the are drawn to each other like light to moth
they don't mind loving each other
