Spring Day

by GraCiE   Sep 14, 2006

That day the morn was calm and warm,
the low rising sun did shine.
The birds flew amongst the morning dew,
as you lay hidden from my eyes.

The clouds were none as the winter was done,
and the plentyful signs of spring.
As tulips sprouted, new lambs shouted,
But death white lillies lay in a ring.

The fresh green leaves waved in the breeze,
And the chicklings sung and told:
\"new life begins as it is spring!\"
But you are white and cold.

The sun rose high deep into the sky,
and the thought returned back to my head.
On this beautiful day you\'re not here you\'re away,
in your coffin, motionless, dead.
