Nocturnal's Majesty

by Twisted Heart   Sep 14, 2006

Over the horizon, among the darkened skies
The crystal stones in somber birth
embark upon the moonlit night.

Little bits of diamonds and strings of satin pearls
Set in blue velvet's gentle glove
Upon the canvas drops and swirls.

In gentle harmony the night winds sing their lullabies
Cascading down among the trees
As the sun rests it's sleepy eyes.

Once again, nightfall surrounds with it's warm embrace
And dances there for all to see
As it captures us with her grace.

You're very good with nature poems. You're great with the usage of combining words to make delicate images.
