Those Days You Miss

by BeautifulxMess   Sep 15, 2006

Long time ago. Yeah, you remember those days. Remember when you're just 4 years old, and everything just seemed like a game

Teachers were nice, and friends were easy to make. When you were good there was a prize to take

Running all over the playground, in your little clubs. No Girls Allowed, boys would say, and they would give you a little shove.

Cooties were in, and boys were out. It was girl power all the time. Well, at least until you find doubt.

Starting to grow up, and 1st grade you go. You think you're all big and bad, because you were in kindergarten a year ago.

Boys are still icky, and girls are still strong. Teachers get a little more strict, but it's still fun all along.

Playground is the same, you got those clubs for boys and girls. Life was great, and you loved the world.

Then things got serious. Fourth grade here we come. You would get weired feelings for boys, and you always feel somewhat dumb.

No more show-and-tell on Friday. It's just test, quizzes and more. You wish you can go back to first grade.

Middle school is a hassle. A big huge confusion. Your all on your own. It just seems like an illusion.

You get the urge to be around every boy. There voices get deeper, and having them around you seem to enjoy.

Homework gets on you harder, and you finally know about stress. Nothing is easy anymore, and then you find out someone is starting mess.

Your heart gets broken, because a guy hurt you. You're so confused on this life, and you don't know what exactly is the truth.

High school comes along, and it's not even half way done. Confusion takes over more. You had a fight with your friend, and now you have none.

Life takes a toll, and really test you quick. It only gets worse, but you just got to get through it.

Move on with your life, it will take you far. Just know that no matter what, you can find where you are.

You won't always be four, and you always won't be six-teen. Even though you may miss those days, you can always succeed.
