Romeo And Juliet Put To Shame.

-Romeo And Juliet Put To Shame.-

There's a dagger in her scabbed wings,
From all the hurt that she's been through,
And her lovely voice no longer sings,
These beautiful lullabies for you.

Draped in sweat pants and raggy t-shirts,
She sits alone with a bottle at her side.
With the bloody blades, she silently flirts,
Hushing her blackened hearts' shattered cries.

The crocodile tears slowly stream down her face,
Tainted in crimson, she paints out her sins - -
Along the dotted lines, deceit hidden in lace,
But in the game of love, nobody wins.

An angel left to rot, decaying in your arms;
Sleeping beauty tricked by all your cute lies.
As she is blinded by your innocent charms,
She whispers - "I love you." And continues to die.

The needle pierces her skin as she says good-bye,
She had all the cheats, but gave up the game.
With a dagger through her bent wings she cries,
Because she knows she's put Romeo and Juliet to shame.

Ok this was a vrey interesting poem. it was sad, but not an 'emo' omg life sucks poem. (no offense to those poems.. lol)

The language was amazing and the flow worked pretty well, although rough a lil in a few spots(no biggy) the actual story in the poem was beautiful and tragic, and the poem was written very well. this was a very good poem. i enjoyed reading it a very lot.
