Darkest Secret

by Kate Kayuda   Sep 15, 2006

My fingers are frozen
I am not able to write
The only phrase that is
Important enough for me
To catch your attention.

I wish that your warm breath
Could warm me but Im afraid
That you might come too close
To see my blushing side.

The waters are still flowing
Connecting in timeless waves.
You and me or me and you
However you put it
Nothing can change.

I put you next to my heart
On a throne full of gold
But why is your ring
Made of steal?

I see you looking at me
From side to side
Did I make you laugh or
Is it me you are laughing at?

You cut my heart in half
Without knowing
How much it hurts
For me to see you cry.

I love you
Its so simple to say
Yet its my one and only
Darkest secret.
