Blindness

by Dani Ward   Sep 17, 2006

A quiet forest path
a lonely young girl
a loving young man
all a dreaming swirl
what things could be true
what things could be said
what things they did hope
another dream is dead
now the young girl
she walks alone
tears are her company
with a quiet moan
the young man is happy
he doesn't see her pain
it's his fault she's hurt
he caused the tears that reign
perhaps things would change
if only he could see
but love is his blindness
to things that could be
