She screamed "Rape"
out into the night sky,
All alone,
Will they notice?
Will they see the fear in her eyes?
Can they see the changes in her?
The bruises on her body slowly fading away.
She screamed "Rape"
sitting alone in her room,
that night replaying in her minds eye,
knowing she's the one at fault,
How do you tell her shes not to blame?
But she screamed "Rape"
no one heard,
not a head turned,
no one there to see,
your life will never be the same,
She screamed "Rape"
He muffled her cries with the sheets,
Taking something that wasn't his.
Gotta get away,
get away,
trying to forget,
knowing she wont,
she see's him in her nightmares.
She cries out in the middle of the night,
Is anyone there?
Wishing for someone to hold her close,
make all her fears go away.
No one can hear,
She's all alone.
He tore her body in half,
taking her childhood, heart,
and her laugh.
They will never know what happened that cold November night,
down by the lake.
