A Dream

by Shade   Sep 17, 2006

And in the darkness, where we lie,
I'll hide my smile and contently sigh,
To feel you close, and touch bare skin,
You fall asleep, and the dream begins.

~

Up in the stars, across the sky,
Is burned a path to which we fly,
Angelic wings on which we soar,
Beneath the sea, a distant roar.

Our reflection broken by the waves,
Of endless time and endless days,
Crashing softly against the sand,
With the moon in your eyes, we slowly land.

A perfect beach to make you smile,
Golden sand for miles and miles,
Down on one knee, I take my time,
Look in your eyes, and ask to be mine.

~

Without a sound, you cuddle in deep,
Wrapped in my arms, as though mine to keep,
An answer to my question, amen,
I kiss your lips, and dream again.
