I am waiting

by Hayley Bird   Sep 18, 2006

I am waiting for the snow
to fall down in mid-spring
And I am waiting for the past
to go away and be erased forever
And I am waiting to live a life
Without heartache and pain
And I am waiting for the feelings
In love to never change
and for it to never die
And I am waiting for everyone
to just grow up and get along
And I am waiting for enemies
to forgive those people they hate
And I am waiting for violence
to cease in our country
And I am waiting for parents
to get along and stop divorcing
And I am waiting for families
to help each other and spend more time together

I am waiting for depression
To turn into happiness and love
And I am waiting for love
to work out the first time
you experience it.
And I am waiting for the community
to agree and help out more
And I am waiting to find true love once and for all
And I am waiting to find someone
who will keep my secrets
And I am waiting for someone
who will help me when I need them
And I am waiting for life to become
more than a burden, and be something
to remind you it goes by fast.

~~This poem is one I had to write for school, it is definitely not my best work, its not even in the top 20, but it's different and unique. Most of my poems rhyme, but this one doesn't.~~

In today's world people are not able to open up their heart even to themselves and thats where this art of writing helps, so feel lucky to have this skill na dmake the best use of it & trust me rhyming doesnt matter.
