You left

by Hayley Bird   Sep 18, 2006

I threw the phone on my bed
It was that simple...you were gone.
My world was shattered in seconds
I lost my will to be strong

I couldn't understand
How you threw our love away
We'd worked so hard to build that trust
But you weren't willing to stay.

Something down inside of me
Had lost every will to live,
I gave my life, trust and love
What else was there to give?

There was simply nothing left of me
Nothing left but pain
The emptiness you left in me
Was the only thing to gain

But that pain has somehow left
And now all I feel is hate
Because deep down I still love you
But I've decided not to wait

I'm not going to wait around
For someone who made me cry
Someone who broke my heart into a million pieces
And made me believe all their lies.

~I also wrote this one for class. It's not my best work either, but it's better than some. It's about my ex he was my first love, but definitely not my last!!~
