A Day at the Beach

by Lynz   Sep 20, 2006

Sun beams down
Like a bird after a fish
Sun tans to hotdogs;
The beach is the place to be

Seagulls start to stumble and
Struggle for food in the sea and sand

Horseback riding and kites soaring
The taste of soda and burgers on my tongue;
Precious summers never last

The love dies down, the tan lines fade and the ice cream melts.
Your friends should stay but if they leave;
Remember, to them it was just a nice day at the beach

p.s *This poem is not supposed to rhyme but its okay if it does i like it and hope you do too*
