I feel like I could run forever,
and you'd always be by my side,
letting me lean on your shoulder,
as soothing as the ocean's tide.

Calming my beating heart,
producing sunshine during the storm,
becoming my guard, my closest friend,
with a smile that's always warm.

Always knowing which walls to break down,
and understanding why some need to stay,
dancing right along with me,
no matter which song they play.

Helping me when I step out of turn,
or when I don't know where to go,
guiding me softly with your voice,
till we stand again toe to toe.

Letting me take the lead,
and applauding my every move,
never making me doubt myself,
for you never disapprove.

Dancing forever into the night,
neither of us missing a beat,
just two souls becoming one,
flying with wings on our feet.
