I lay awake and pray a prayer
that when i wake youll be near
i read a verse in hopes itll end the search that i fear

i take a hit to forget
i take a drink in hopes itll never end

i have two different personalities pulling at each other one full of sin and the other willin to repent

i struggle with my battles everyday i pray at church then i go home drink myself to sleep

im beggin god to take the pain away as i pass the pipe
