A Broken Women

I should have realized he didn't
love me.When he no longer spoke
the words.

I should have realized that I had
been used again. When he
intentionally made me hurt.

He proved my theory right. That I
can't be loved by any man. They
can tolerate me for only so long
before bringing our relationship
to an end.

I had made myself a promise.
Long before I met him.
That I wouldn't let another man
make me weak, but he slithered
his way in.

just like the serpent who
tempted innocent Eve
into eating the forbidden fruit.

He too opened my eyes unto
forbidden things, and I thought
his words were true.

I'm deeply hurt, but no one knows
it because I hide it very well.
But the truth is that I have no
choice. I can't let my facade fell.

People say that I should let him
go and move on with my life.
But how can I do that when my
hopes and dreams were set on
becoming his wife?

Now my hearts completely broken.
I no longer Know what to do.
