Forgotten Flowers

by RainbowSlider   Sep 22, 2006

Those roses that we both planted
but somehow were taken for granted.
Those buds that never seem to bloom
as you did when you came into a room.
Those petals that I could watch fall
when you walked down the hall.
Those thorns that I could always feel
but you said it was really no big deal.
Those roots that withered and died
because we were so full of pride.
Those forgotten flowers of May
that I can still remember, today.

    My two favorit lines are:

    Those forgotten flowers of May
that I can still remember, today.

This one took me by storm.
