Devil's advocate

by FlowerThatDied   Sep 22, 2006

Defined by a name,
Defined by a thought,
Head down in shame,
For what they've been taught,

Suffering for the good of all,
Trying to cure cancer,
Reflects in each fall,
To be so unsure,

Secret world inside a room,
Wearing white,
Bearing everyone's gloom,
And yet stealing lives,

Reaping from one,
To save another,
It's not fun,
Taking the lamb to the slaughter,

Do you think you could do it,
Leave something with no life,
Or leave something in pain to sit,
In a tiny, little cage.

I thought this was kind of interesting. I'm really glad you added what it was about, because I tend to over analize and be like, 'What was that supposed to mean?' For three weeks after reading something with no explanation.
On the other side, when it's open to interpritation more people can relate, coming up with ideas you would have never thought of.
