Autumn emotions

by Elynnka   Sep 22, 2006

Outside it’s raining and the wind blows cold
As trees shed their leaves – another year old,
Raindrops are falling hitting the window sill,
My eyes won’t blink as seconds stand still.

A scent of apples coming from the living-room
Fills the air with its aroma – autumn you assume –
Shimmer candle light paints shadows on the wall
As golden leaves and rose petals begin to fall.

The clouds only scatter to be gathered again
Your ears are enchanted by melodies when
The wet little birds are hiding under trees
And sing their compassion for fallen leaves.

Spiders are weaving webs between flowers
And raindrops seem like diamond wonders
And as the sun goes down, hiding from our eyes
Its rays remain reflected on the clouds and skies.
