This is an experiment first off. .. i'm tryin to write a story in poem form, please tell me if you like it, cause if i get enough votes & stuff i will write one again.. . .thanks
Alex was a seventeen year old
That lived next to a guy
Every morning she'd see him
And almost every night
She heard his parents fighting
All they did was scream
He must have been in a nightmare
Cause it sure wasn't a dream
The boy's name was Adam
They were the same age
She didn't see him face to face
But she felt and knew his rage
How awful it must have been
To have the life of abuse
He must have been unhappy
Lord knows he was confused
One night Alex heard them
Louder than before
She heard something hit the wall
And someone run out the door
She ran out after Adam
Cause she knew that he had run
She knew that he was fed up
She knew the time had come
Alex took off in her car
She knew where he would be
She wanted to see this mysterious man
Who held onto sanity
In the woods she found him
Right outside the park
She was a little nervous to find him
Because the night was really dark
Alex called his name to let him know
That someone actually cared
She wanted to tell him the abuse he felt
She had also shared
Adam came out of hiding
And for the first time
Alex got a look
Into his eyes
Pain overshadowed them
They were bloodshot
She looked for some sign of love
But find it, she could not
"I've heard them fighting everynight,
And wanted to take you away
And all though i hated it just as much
I continued to let you stay,
I wanted to tell you everything
About the abuse that i have known
From the child i used to be
To the adult in which i've grown
I know exactly how you feel
And i know what to do
But you must first let me show
That i can really love you"
Adam did something he never did
It was never worth his while
A tear slid down his cheek
And he began to smile
Adam left his home that night
He left the abuse behind
He now had something to live for
Something in his life to shine
He now has a daughter and a son on the way
With a beautiful loving wife
All because she cared enough
To help him change his life
