Make me a promise.

by Brooke Amity   Sep 23, 2006

Make me a promise,
Say you'll stay by my side.
Make me a promise,
Say you'll never make me cry.

Make me a promise,
Don't use empty charms.
Make me a promise,
Let me wake up in your arms.

Make me a promise,
One for which you'll vouch.
Make me a promise,
Say we'll always snuggle on the couch.

Make me a promise,
Please let it not be a lie.
Make me a promise,
Say our love will never die.

Make me a promise,
And make me believe.
Make me a promise,
Say you'll never leave.

Make me a promise,
And mean it all you can.
Make me a promise,
Say you'll always be my man.

I've only read two of your poems and I've loved them both. It seems as though we view love the same and you did a beautiful job describing it. It's simple yet good. Keep it up!

If I were your man, I'd make you a promise and do what I can, to keep your hand.
