Blind Obsession

by RainbowSlider   Sep 23, 2006

I was blinded by my obsession.
You were to be my possession.
I never got to know you at all.
An error in my judgment call.

I had read the golden rule.
And I had been to school.
But I coveted you for me.
That you just couldn't see.

I must have been invisible to you.
Your wants were invisible, too.
You were something I craved.
My feelings couldn't behave.

Can't you look at me that way?
Is all that I could hear her say.
She couldn't see what I saw.
She didn't know me at all.

I wonder what was so unseen.
Our envy was just so green.
Blinded by a vision in blue.
Blinded by the golden rule.
