When You're Ready

by *Charisma*   Sep 23, 2006

You don't have to fight alone
I am always here for you
Why do you go it on your own?
I'll help you to pull through

You're on a crutch as it is
Don't stand or you could fall
You can always lean on me
You shouldn't have to crawl

Wish you'd let me in your head
To see what's going on
Why you decide to lock me out
Is something still unknown

But I am here at your door
Or just a phone call away
When you decide you want me
Call me night or day

I hate to see you in such pain
Do you know it's killing me?
I watch you cry and deny me still
Though my help you need

Must I suffer because you do
Sink deeper into quick sand
I know you're a fighter all the way
But even fighters need a hand

So when you want to hold mine
It will be outstreched towards you
Take a hold, I'll grab you tight
And together we'll pull through

So basically I loved that stanza! You are just like me my friend!!! I've been going through some issues and none of which were mine...issues of others and I have it in my nature to take other peoples problems upon myself..my sister always tells me to stop because it just puts stress on you..its better to let someone work out there own issues..I know as friends it kills us to see friends in pain and we are constantly watning to help, but that person will grab your hand when their ready I promise...Lovely write, felt like I was reading my own work!
