Oliver

by Taylor Porton   Mar 12, 2004

Oliver was a fine cat
Wonderful
at that
From the tip of his nose
to the end of his paw
In his little body
there wasn’t a flaw
Oliver, my sweetheart
would always leap with joy
Whether one of us arrived home
or because he found a toy
My sweet little angel
is fluttering his wings
In a land of happiness
Too far away to see
But this distance does not matter,
Dear
For in my heart
you feel so near
