A simple day in May

by ChangeInMe   Sep 24, 2006

The rain washed over the concrete,
lighting splashes across the nightsky.
Thunder pounds in the night,
like the beats of a human heart.

Silent questions in my mind,
walking along the concrete road.
Fabric clinging to my drenched skin,
wind blowing in my tear glissened face.

I can\'t feel the cold,
a numb unfeeling sensation,
vribrating thoughout my body,
the loss of a friend washes over me.

Tears mix with the rain,
i hope his death won\'t be in vain.
Its not so easy to forget,
the memories may fade,
but the pain remains.

Strenght are my friends,
for the love my give,
praying for a better day,
a simple day in May.

**This poem is about the loss of my friend, Scott. He was 17 when he was killed in a car accident. He died 2 days after the accident, on May 3rd.

Becca, great job hun! just two spelling errors, "vribrating" and "Strenght"

Otherwise, this poem was a great read and i liked that it didn't rhyme, it didn't have to. It go the meaning across and made perfect sense. I'm sooo sorry about your loss....

    Ciao xx
