Things Change

Things Change
by Sami Brown

A tear falls as they yell,
Screaming she runs from the house,
She's calling him, she can't stand it anymore,
He comes right away and gathers her up,
He holds her close.

They were meant for each other it seemed,
There were many more tears after that night,
Some were of happiness, while others were of sadness or anger,
He was the cause of some, but always the good,
Like the day he proposed.

And the day it happened,
There was screaming,
Yelling, pain, love,
As those last moments came, they smiled,
They had a baby girl

When she left them,
They felt she was too young,
They didn't want to let go,
They wanted to hold on forever,
Not let her go to school.

They were there, they gave some of what she wanted,
And all of what they thought she needed,
They smiled when it happened, they did not fight it,
They allowed it, they agreed,
There were there on her wedding day.
