Letter to a drunk driver

by stephanie   Mar 13, 2004

You know my name now
Though you didn't before that night
On which your choice to drink and drive
Cost me my very life
Can you see my family
How their hearts are full of pain
Or hear my mother cry at night
She'll never be the same

Have you saw the flowers
Friends have placed upon my grave
Or heard the sadness in my fathers voice
When he mentions my name

How easily my life was lost
Because you failed to count the cost

I'm at peace- for you I now pray
You must bare this burden
Each and every day
